Born from the vibrant traditions of Latin America and shaped by a global vision, Pablo’s path has taken him from local classrooms to major concert halls across the U.S. and beyond. Whether leading a full symphony orchestra or working side-by-side with students, his approach is always rooted in empathy, energy, and a belief that music can open hearts.

Pablo’s work centers on creating experiences that matter—concerts that celebrate cultural identity, educational programs that spark curiosity, and collaborations that invite everyone to feel seen and heard.

Sewanee Music Center, The Cumberland Orchestra  - Join the Cumberland Orchestra on June 27, 2025, at Guerry Stage for an unforgettable evening of powerful music led by Maestro Pablo Zamora. The program will feature two masterpieces of Mexican orchestral repertoire: Silvestre Revueltas’s “La Noche de los Mayas”, an immersive and rhythmically intense work that evokes the spirit of ancient rituals, and Gabriela Ortiz’s “Kauyumari,” a vibrant composition that blends tradition with modern textures. Don’t miss this unique concert experience, which will be presented live and live-streamed for audiences everywhere. 

Midsummer in Marfa- An original, cross-disciplinary production blending orchestral music, mariachi, dance, and spoken word. Presented by the Austin Symphony Orchestra, this vibrant performance explored themes of identity, heritage, and imagination, featuring works by Latin American composers and powerful collaborations with Ventana Ballet, Austin Shakespeare, Mariachi Las Alteñas, and poet Amalia Ortiz. A true celebration of cultural storytelling through the arts.

Día de Muertos with the Nashville Symphony
One year later, in October 2024, Pablo led the Nashville Symphony in a powerful continuation of his Día de Muertos concert series. Once again, Ballet Folklórico Sol de México and two actors delivered heartfelt letters, bringing stories of remembrance to the stage. The program featured works by Gabriela Ortiz and José Pablo Moncayo, along with the highly anticipated world premiere of a new composition by Horacio Fernández. This addition brought fresh energy to an already moving celebration, making it an unforgettable evening of music and culture.

Día de Muertos with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
In October 2023, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, brought the vibrant traditions of Día de Muertos to life. The concert featured Ballet Folklórico Sol de México and two actors who shared poignant letters honoring departed loved ones, celebrating the beauty of remembrance. Audiences were captivated by a program that wove together traditional folk tunes and modern arrangements of beloved classics, with music by Gabriela Ortiz, José Pablo Moncayo, and a selection of Mexican favorites. This unforgettable performance celebrated the depth and richness of Mexican culture.
